I was on the hunt for a roofer and, having had some rough times before, decided to check out Checkatrade. In the end, I got a roof that was fixed up right, and I didn’t have to stress about any shady business or unskilled work.

"My Experience with Checkatrade as a Business"
As a company that relies on Checkatrade, I gotta say I'm really frustrated. The way they handle things and draft their agreements doesn't help any business at all. They bug you every couple of days after your inquiry until you sign up, and they want to control how you run your business, all while making you pay for it. And when you decide to leave, good luck with that—they won't let you go. If you're looking for a platform to generate leads, this ain't the one.

"My Experience with Checkatrade"
I've turned to Checkatrade a bunch of times and I gotta say, I'm always impressed by how quickly I get in touch with the right tradesperson I need. I wouldn't dream of hiring someone for home repairs without first checking Trustatrade. It really takes the hassle out of searching for a good quality tradesperson.

"Excellent Service and Quick Response"
They really did a fantastic job. Prompt, professional, and super polite. Given the nature of their work, they kept everything clean and tidy both during and after finishing up. I’d definitely recommend DCL Drainage and Plumbing to anyone looking for reliable service.

"satisfied with the upholsterer"
I’m really pleased with the furniture upholsterer I discovered on Checkatrade. They were super easy to reach, very helpful, and quite friendly. They did a fantastic job bringing my old chesterfield sofa back to life with their refurbishing and re-upholstering skills.

I'm on the hunt for Just Repairs, a business mentioned in your flyer that runs out in February '23. They worked on our conservatory roof right before Christmas, but sadly, it’s still leaking. I’ve left messages on three different numbers, yet no one has gotten back to me. I’m thinking of going with another company, but your website isn’t providing any info for my area. Should I take a chance on another company from your flyer?

On the first call, I was quoted over £100 plus VAT and parts, which seemed a bit steep to me. The second contact gave a reasonable price, showed up on time, was super friendly, and did a solid job. He left the bathroom spotless, no mess at all. I've saved his info and would definitely call him again.
